Leisure participation and time-use surveys: Spain.

This chapter analyses the major leisure activities of the Spanish population, drawing on various surveys conducted in 1978-2000. First, the availability of free time is discussed, and this is followed by an outline of leisure activities engaged in during that time. Leisure activities are classified into six groups: family and social relations; mass media; membership in organizations; sport activities; cultural activities; and holiday-taking.
