Arctic and antarctic.

This chapter looks at the tourism operations in the Arctic and the Antarctic and shows that the relationship between tourism and conservation in the Polar Regions is somewhat ambiguous. On the positive side, tourism may help to contribute to public awareness of environmental impacts and threats to conservation from other industry sectors. On the negative side, tourism in Polar Regions certainly does produce environmental impacts, especially on wildlife which forms a key tourist attraction.
