Ethical comments revolving around post-disaster marketing.

This chapter examines the contradiction between ethics and marketing strategies in the uneasy context of post-disaster and post-conflict destinations. Post-disaster marketing offers fertile ground to implement recovery and reconstruction plans and provides lessons in the resilience of community-led approaches, but in certain conditions these lessons are at risk of becoming a spectacle and being sold as cultural entertainment. It is argued that in such cases, the probability of the same disaster happening again increases. Hence, there is a need for 'ethical marketing'.
