Metrics

Chapter 25 (Page no: 301)

Post-entry measures.

This chapter introduces a relatively new innovation in phytosanitary risk management, post-entry measures. These are under-appreciated for their risk management value because risk managers are reluctant to allow potentially infested articles to enter, even when risk analysis supports the use of such measures. Even so, post-entry quarantine is a well-established and widely practiced post-entry measure used for propagative material. The role of these measures in research, analysis, and exhibition as well as in biocontrol is explored.
